I addressed a number of issues that had been reported in the game jam's feedback:
- The collision areas on the pills to collect is much larger now, so walking past them should be gone for good.
- The ghosts' movement should be improved. While still not perfect they should get stuck much less than before and get unstuck more easily when they attempt to pass through against each other. This still needs some more tweaking, either having some "watchdog" timeout or other method for them to "lose interest" in where they want to go and reset the target so they will get off each others' toes, or allowing them to pass through each other. But while "they're ghosts, they're supposed to pass through things" would work in the real world, keep in mind the game takes place in the ghosts' world, so this would not be a good resolution for the issue...
- The connection between the ghosts and their "corner" should be more easily to get now that the feedback counters match their colours.
- Speaking of which, I redesigned how they're placed, so their positions should be correct now for different resolutions and builds.
- When collecting pills, they get dyed in the corresponding ghost's colours to further emphasize the connection.
- OTOH I'm still thinking about having some different difficulty levels where "pro mode" would have no counters as feedback to the player...
- While "overshooting" (collecting more pills than needed for the currently activated power pellet) is still a thing, I should at least add stopping collecting more pills once the pellet is fully charged.
- Giving more emphasis for when you switch to ghost mode to which of the power pellets activated would be another thing still to add.
- Also the friction(lessness) of walls is still a thing to improve on.
- Mention how the vagueness of the description is intentional and part of the game is supposed to find out how the mechanics work together...Maybe add some extra explanation page that can be opened on the menu screen with some explicit playing instructions...
So there are still some things to address ,,, the parts I changed should improve the gameplay quite a lot already!
